Drift anchors are an important and useful tool, either as a safety feature or to hold the boat up against the wind when deep-sea fishing or casting from a boat.

When trolling with baitfish, an important tool for slowing down the boat. 2 anchors can be mounted - one on each side of the boat. This will also stabilize the boat in rough seas and possible engine failure.

By rigging the drift anchor along the side of the boat, you will be able to slow down the speed when trolling with bait, especially beneficial if you are struggling with too high a speed due to the size of the engine or the pitch of the propeller!
